February 6, 2010, 15th Annual Ice Fishing Contest at the Fowler Center in Mayville, MI. This year the event is hosted by Rob & Susie Trott from Great Lakes Outdoors Television. There are two sessions available from 7:30 am until 11:30 Am and 1:00 pm to 5 pm. Also you may fish them both. The entry donation for kids 16 and under is $5.00 per session and $15.00 per session for adults. There will be a great All-You Can eat Chicken Dinner served from 11:30AM-1:00 PM for a donation of only $6.00. Snacks will be available all day at the Snack Shack. Door prizes will be awarded all day. Other prizes include: first pike, first fish, largest fish, smallest pike, oldest fisherman with a fish, youngest fisherman with a fish. Of course a chance to catch the $7,000 tagged pike is open to all who enter! All proceeds benefit programs of the Fowler Center, providing outdoor recreation to people with disabilities for over 50 years.  Over night accommodations for the event are also available for $15.00 a night. The Fowler center is located at 2315 Harmon Lake Road, Mayville, MI 48744. Jack Fowler has been a personal friend of mine for over 40 years and there is not a nicer, more caring person on earth then Jack.
